Loss of safety net

I wish I had more time but alas I do not. I was planning on finishing one of those good old comment responses I do that I started a couple of weeks back but I have way too many comments to respond to still.

Why don't I have time you ask?

Well because I am currently logged onto a pc at an internet cafe that is costing me precious money but I thought it best to update you on what you will soon be all too aware of.

I have made the choice to quit uni which now means I cant access any sites from deakin (my source of the internet as my mum is a tight arse and wont get it at home) other than deakin ones... and they are boring. But I will make an effort to update as much as I can. I will be back within the week to give you an update on that "To Do List" I made a couple of months back... its pretty well sorted. And hopefully by then I can suss out somewhere where I can use the net for free so I dont have to rush the clock (looking at you mates with the internet... with puppy dog eyes lol). I mean seriously I had 34 new emails in my deakin inbox and 22 on my hotmail. Once I finished those I had like 5 minutes left!

Hope all is well with you all, I will be back to read the happenings of your life in your respective blogs later in the week too.

Love you guys xox

Money matters

I am getting really pissed off now!!!

I am in financial hell right now! I have money going everywhere... to my loan, to my mum, to my phone bill, to various 21st presents, to food... anything that can steal funds out of my wallet is doing it.

Why I'm annoyed is because I have a job and I get youth allowance but it is just not enough to cover my expenses. I don't get nearly enough hours at my work so hence not alot of money. Not to mention I've missed alot of potential shifts due to illness or uni or whatever else is going on. So I've been looking for a secondary job to fit in around the first one and uni but I'm so sick of the rejection!

I have been applying for jobs left right and centre and most will give no response. I had an group interview for Safeway last week and no such luck getting a second interview. I have another group interview this week and i'm pretty certain I won't get that one either.

Why is it that those who wanna work can't get a job? Grrr!

This blog was utter shite but i'm venting so deal with it!

Photo's are up!

Not all but most of the photos from the fire are up! Have a squiz if you want... more coming tomorrow!

When the Ghetto Caught Fire

Ok so there was a absolutely huge fire near my house last night!

Well not really... but we could see it all the way from the princess highway so it was huge but it was more like at the back of St Albans Park/Moolap area. Me and brooke got the biggest adrenaline rush chasing the fire and there were so many god damn cars around the place all trying to get as close as possible (and getting in our way too the bastards)... I must say it took us a fair while to get to where we were in the end which was pretty close but not in harms way still. I had rung the fire station and they informed me that they were monitoring it (I got a little worried coz we hadn't seen one fire truck) and that it would probably be burning all through the night as it had burned all afternoon. The fire ended up changing direction so we decided to leave... not to mention we finally saw a CFA van so we thought it best to leave. You know... let them do their job.

Brooke and I took some awesome pics but she hasn't given them to me yet so as soon as she does I'll put them up here. It will go along nicely with my "When The Ghetto Flooded" album...

We're a Happy Team at Hawthorn!!!

Well i'm guessing we're a happy team at Hawthorn... I know I'm a happy supporter of Hawthorn that's for sure! We haven't had the best of seasons that's for sure! Much like uni for me lol. We certainly peaked too early... we won 4 of our first 5 matches this year and then only won 1 in the next 14. Our finals hopes ended long ago but i'm glad to see we notched up another win before the season was over. My mate Lance kicked 6 goals which is an awesome effort and three of them we're in the first 6 minutes of the second half... that's good quick footy. We should have won by more but Fev, not to be outdone, kicked 8 goals. Oh well, i'll settle for the win. Hopefully we can get another before the end of the season... here's hoping its the cats! GO THE HAWKS!!!

Anyway... just thought I'd stop by and update you all on the progress since my last blog as I know all of you are sooo concerned with my well-being.

Number 1 hasn't really gained any momentum yet... I still went out 2 nights this weekend but on the plus side... I didn't binge drink and i was home earlier than usual... 3:30am after saturday night.

Number 2 is going quite well... I wish I could say I haven't had any but i've had a couple... but since that last entry its been less than 10 smoked so i've already decreased my weekly intake by a whopping 65 and that's surely something!!! And I haven't bought a deck so my money is real good this week... effectively saved myself 30 bucks.

Shaky start to Number 3... I substituted my smokes with junk food but after this initial hiccup I got on to better stuff. Instead of eating greasy chips and hamburgers in batter after a finished work... I grilled fish instead. And I actually cooked vegetables at home... that's right... I wen't to the supermarket with mum's money... purchased vegetables and cooked them! Shock horror! Don't get me wrong... I still eat M&M's like they're going out of fashion but this one will be a gradual change.

Damn reading over this makes me sound like I'm doin pretty well huh?

Ok Number 4 didn't get much work this week... unless you count being bedridden because you're so overcome with fever and headaches and snot "me time". Oh well there's always next week

And finally number 5... I'm clearly in way over my head here... I've practically missed the first 4 weeks of class but after talking to a few helpful people I have decided instead of sitting back and resigning myself to a wasted semester, I will go see the right people and try and work something out. I cannot afford to fail another semester's worth of units... I don't wanna get one of those scary letters from Deakin's big bad Academic Progress & Discipline Committee threatening me to shape up or ship out. Time will tell with this one.

There you go... now you're all informed! I haven't had much luck lately (my stuff stolen, bad birthday, boys driving me insane, the list goes on and on) so hopefully I can find some with this little to-do list.

Occasionally you've got to stop and take a look around

You know... its recently become apparent to me that I've been living my life as if it was a race. You know that saying "Live fast, die young and leave a good looking corpse behind"... well I don't think there is much truth to that quote... except the dying young part. I live a pretty hectic life... sure, most of my time is spent out with mates clubbing and all that jazz but with that, uni and work, I barely find time to appreciate life and all its joys. And I cannot deny that it is taking its toll.

Here's conclusive proof...

You Will Die at Age 55

Not bad, considering your super wild lifestyle
Want to live longer? Try losing a few bad habits.

Well not conclusive but it is funny... found this quiz at my favorite time killing site, http://www.blogthings.com/whatagewillyoudiequiz/

I am pretty ill at the moment. I have a whole series of ailments that has pretty much kept me bedridden the entire last week. I wish I could say that this is the first time I've been sick in ages but the truth is i'm pretty much sick all the time. As soon as I get over something, another thing strikes me down. Its debilitating and i'm tiring of it. My boss reckons I've been sick the entire time I've been there and I can't argue with her coz I feel like I have. I know it is my lifestyle that is doing this to me... the sleep deprivation, the unhealthy eating habits, the things I stress over that I bottle up, the going out 3 nights a week and the smoking and drinking that goes hand in hand with that, the list could go on for ever. I know these things but I feel powerless to stop myself... I need an intervention. For example... given my illness this week and the fact that I spent 3 whole days without moving from my bed... why did I go out Thursday night? I was sick as a dog... it was clear to everyone that saw me but yet I'd rather people see me looking like shit than spend a Thursday night in bed. I'm a club junkie... I can't get enough... need a hit as often as I can.

My eating habits are shocking. I don't remember the last time I cooked a proper meal at home... unless you count microwave meals as proper food. The last time I remember cooking at my house was for my mates when they came over for dinner in May. True I have cooked at their places, and they've cooked for me and of course there is TACO TUESDAY but I pretty much eat take-out every night of the week or if the money runs out I'll eat vegemite sandwiches for dinner. During the day i eat chocolate and chips and lollies... not exactly healthy. Not to mention I'm now smoking 3 packs a week. Its quite funny how I progressed with that since I started in December. I went from just smoking when offered to smoking a pack of 20's every 2 weeks, then they were all gone in 1 week, then I was going through 2 a week, then I switched to 25's and slowly it got to 3 packs a week without fail. That's 75 smokes in a week. THATS MORE THAN 10 A DAY!!! And considering i dont smoke much Monday-Wednesday, I am primarily a binge-smoker on weekends. Just not healthy. My drinking is not too bad as I don't drink that often (once a fortnight maybe) but when I drink... I drink to get drunk. And the sleep deprevation from staying out to ungodly hours on the nights I go out and staying up watching tv on the nights i'm in... hardly allows for much energy to get up in the mornings.

And as for uni, I realised that i've just begun the 4th week of semester and I have done nothing... and I mean nothing. I have written no notes, printed off no slides from the lectures, completed no readings or tute questions and done nothing to prepare for labs and assessments... like purchase text books for example. I HAVEN'T EVEN BOUGHT PENS PEOPLE!!! I used to be the chick who got up in the morning because I loved to go to school. I loved getting all new stationary and books at the start of the year and keeping my work meticulously maintained and in order. What I have become now is a chick who uses one book to write all my notes in, one who doesn't listen in class as I know I can get the notes off the net, one who has a pencilcase full of crap i dont use, and one of those people that is just going to school because it will keep my parents happy. I have never had less motivation and energy for something that I know will pay off big time if I work hard enough. I am not earning some crappy degree, I am doing a forensic science course. This is the career I have wanted for as long as I can remember and I'm screwing it up.

All this and more!

I need to slow down... start making something of my life... stop taking it for granted and well... take time to smell the roses. I couldn't remember the last time I went for a walk so yesterday I grabbed some sushi and walked down to the pier. I sat there and ate my lunch while i overlooked the water (albeit scummy Corio Bay water) and relaxed. I probably sat there for a good hour just chilling out and then I walked along the bollard walk to the beach and sat there for a while. I honestly felt much better after that... I didn't feel as sick or as stressed.

So what is the plan?

1)  Stop going out as much. I know I'm addicted to it for whatever reason so this will be hard but I don't have the time energy or money to waste going out 3 nights a week. One night should be suffice and I wont cut myself up about it if I do two but not three or four!

2)  Quit smoking. This one shouldn't be too hard no matter how much I smoke these days. I can still go without a smoke for days so I jsut need to extend that to like forever. My plan of attack is cold turkey using lollypops as my substitute... I know my addiction is in the physical hands to mouth action so this should help.

3)  Start eating better. This needs some work from my mum too coz she is the one that is supposed to provide the meals... well at least the money for them. I actually love to cook its just there is nothing to cook and noone to cook for so I get lazy.

4)  Take some me time. No that is not some hippy bullshit like making bracelets and skipping. Just taking some time out to do what I feel like... SOMETHING HEALTHY! I like walking, I like going and palying some basketball, heck I even like to just run sometimes so just some stuff like that occasionally... outdoors stuff rather than sitting in my room watching tv and dvd's any time i'm at home

5)  Well obviously I need to do something about uni but I don't know where to start with this one but I'll think of something. One thing is for sure... i need to get on this one fast coz I know from experience how a few bad weeks can completely muck up an entire semester

Clearly there is more things I should put on that list but a list of 5 seems so neat and perfect. They'll do for now. So back to my uni work now... see I've started already. Ciao xox

No I am not dead...

Ok well I have been MIA for some time but hey you get that. If I got paid to update... maybe I'd give more of a crap. If I didn't have to turn every night out into a 4000 word saga... maybe I'd have the effort to write again. If I was writing for you guys and not just to document my strange life so when i'm 40 I can look back at what a tool I was... maybe I'd give you something to read more often. If my mum wasn't such an angry biatch all the time... maybe I'd wanna spend more time at the house writing. If I didn't realise that I was spending more time writing blogs and keeping lists maintained than studying at uni so I'll have a career and not have to work a crappy job for the rest of my life... maybe it would still be a top priority. However... all these epiphanies have led to the downfall of my space and well... I can honestly say i'm alot less stressed with one less thing to do.

But exams are over... holidays have flown by and I find myself back at uni again. So I think instead of writing big sagas like i usually would I will give you a run-down of the major (well lets just call it news worthy) happenings of the last 2 months or so.

1)  It was my birthday on the 16th. Yes... happy birthday to me. I have left the teens and soared into the 20's. I will probably post a blog about this later in the week though so I'll leave it there.

2)  I am now part of the working society. I am working at a Fish and Chip shop near my house which I find very convenient. After my first employment at a Fish and Chip shop I swore I'd never work in one again... but alas here I am but this one is so much better. I actually like my boss and all the people who work there. I aint doing the same shit every day... this chick will actually let me touch the grill unlike the stupid grill nazi of my first employment. So yeah... job is enjoyable... money is enjoyable... life is good with a job somewhat.

3)  I managed to fuck up uni in spectacular fashion. That's right kiddies... royally fucked up. I managed to fail 3 of my 4 units. Although anyone from Geelong will know why... clearly the units I enrolled in at the start of the year... Spectroscopy, Biochemistry, Genetics, Criminology... turned into Clubbing101, Alcohol101, PickingUp101, and SleepDeprevation101 which I passed with HD's. However I managed to pass the one unit that was a pre-requisite for this semester's units (albeit with it a 51) so I am able to do all the ones I had prescribed for this semester. Yet I think it wise to drop down to 3 units until I can get myself back into the right work ethic... something that I am trying to do today if Ruth ever gets back from her lunch break.

4)  I had a period a while back now that was coined the "Nikki T Liberation month" and well lets just say that was the month that was... even if it did stretch out to more like 2 months. I did alot of stuff that I'd always wanted to do that I'd never had the confidence to do or my stupid "lets anaylse every little detail about the situation, the pros, the cons, the consequences of either path and the regret factor" brain got in the way of. It was a month without conscious thought and I've never been less stressed in my life. And although that Nikki has been put to rest, there are some things of her that have been incorporated into the old me and I've never been happier with who I am. Which makes being open for others to perhaps be into you too alot easier.

I've met several good guys out on the town of late that have certainly changed my mind about the ability to meet people worth my time in a club. There is no more pash and dash for me. I have a few people I'm really attracted to but I'm having a hard time narrowing it down... my indecisiveness is certainly still there... to be honest I think I know who I want but have no idea how to go about it. Kinda hoping it all just works itself out.

Hrmmm... running out of stuff now....

5)  I have managed to sort it out where I finally have my different groups of mates and I'm happy with everyone... they are all gorgeous people and the friendships are true and not one sided and they don't treat me like crap like the friend I believe I talked about in my first post way back in October of last year (ah reminiscing...). And I know they would love a shout out here but I can't be bothered as I would have to talk about all the things that are great about them and there's just too many to name. Its simple enough to say that all my mates who read this should know that I love them all and if you didn't know it till just then... well I'll try and make more of a conscious effort to show it to you from now on.

Ok that will do for now... well i got nothing else i think... i'm so boring :-(

Until I post something else... catch you on the flip side... ciao xox

P.S. Satisfied all you people hassling me for new posts like debt-collectors?

Back to my old habits...

When this space was born it was generally a place to rant about things that were giving me the irrits. Well in true old-skool fashion I have one for you all...

Biochemistry is the stupidest fucking subject in the history of lame arse subjects!

Well... now that I have that off my chest I can continue...

Tommy... You are the worst lecturer and campus coordinator to ever grace this stupidest of all-mighty stupid units!!!

Seriously having trouble containing my anger right now. My exam is in... oh... about 45 minutes and I have no progressive marks. Everyone else seems to... just not me. And in this subject you must get 50% on your practical mark to pass this unit. I could get 100% on this exam i'm about to go into (not fucking likely due to the fact I did not go to more than 3 lectures in the semester, I left my study until 10pm last night, I've done an all-nighter again for the 4th time in 2 weeks, and i'm peaking on No Doze) and i'd still fail if I didn't get at least 50% on my practicals. So this is something I would like to know because if I've already failed the unit I would very much like to go home and sleep rather than sitting on this stupid computer or

Grrr! Angry and tired and sick... can't wait to go to B Bar as soon as I finish this exam and sink some bloody piss... see you all on the flip side... suckers!

(Soz bout the suckers remark... just slipped out lol)

A History Lesson

Well I'm flat out busy doing this essay that's due in 3 hours (not a chance it'll be finished) and studying for exams. As Max has stated on his space, the inevitable has occured and i'm afraid my space and posting my life updates on it will probably be the last thing on my mind over the next two weeks. In the mean time i'll probably post random shit i've been sent. Here's the first one:

Thought this was interesting..

The next time you are washing your hands and complain because the water temperature isn't just how you like it, think about how things used to be.

Here are some facts about the 1500's:

Most people got married in June because they took their yearly bath in May, and still smelled pretty good by June. However, they were starting to smell, so brides carried a bouquet of flowers to hide the body odor. Hence, the custom today of carrying a bouquet when getting married.

Baths consisted of a big tub filled with hot water. The man of the house had the privilege of the nice clean water, then all the other sons and men, then the women and finally the children. Last of all the babies. By then the water was so dirty you could actually lose someone in it. Hence the saying, "Don't throw the baby out with the bath water."

Houses had thatched roofs-thick straw-piled high, with no wood underneath. It was the only place for animals to get warm, so all the cats and other small animals (mice, bugs) lived in the roof. When it rained it became slippery and sometimes the animals would slip and off the roof.

Hence the saying "It's raining cats and dogs."

There was nothing to stop things from falling into the house. This posed a real problem in the bedroom where bugs and other droppings could mess up your nice clean bed. Hence, a bed with big posts and a sheet hung over the top afforded some protection. That's how canopy beds came into existence.

The floor was dirt. Only the wealthy had something other than dirt. Hence, the saying "dirt poor." The wealthy had slate floors that would get slippery in the winter when wet, so they spread thresh (straw) on floor to help keep their footing. As the winter wore on, they added more thresh until when you opened the door it would all start slipping outside. A piece of wood was placed in the entranceway. Hence, the saying a "thresh hold."

(Getting quite an education, aren't you?)

In those old days, they cooked in the kitchen with a big kettle that always hung over the fire. Every day they lit the fire and added things to the pot. They ate mostly vegetables and did not get much meat. They would eat the stew for dinner, leaving leftovers in the pot to get cold overnight and then start over the next day. Sometimes stew had food in it that had been there for quite a while. Hence, the rhyme, "Peas porridge hot, peas porridge cold, peas porridge in the pot nine days old."

Sometimes they could obtain pork, which made them feel quite special. When visitors came over, they would hang up their bacon to show off. It was a sign of wealth that a man could "bring home the bacon." They would cut off a little to share with guests and would all sit around and "chew the fat."

Those with money had plates made of pewter. Food with high acid content caused some of the lead to leach onto the food, causing lead poisoning death. This happened most often with tomatoes, so for the next 400 years or so, tomatoes were considered poisonous.

Bread was divided according to status. Workers got the burnt bottom of the loaf, the family got the middle, and guests got the top, or "upper crust."

Lead cups were used to drink ale or whisky. The combination would sometimes knock the imbibers out for a couple of days. Someone walking along the road would take them for dead and prepare them for burial. They were laid out on the kitchen table for a couple of days and the family would gather around and eat and drink and wait and see if they would wake up. Hence the custom of holding a "wake"

England is old and small and the local folks started running out of places to bury people. So they would dig up coffins and would take the bones to a "bone-house" and reuse the grave. When reopening these coffins, 1 out of 25 coffins were found to have scratch marks on the inside and they realized they had been burying people alive. So they would tie a string on the wrist of the corpse, lead it through the coffin and up through the ground and tie it to a bell. Someone would have to sit out in the graveyard all night (the "graveyard shift") to listen for the bell; thus, someone could be "saved by the bell" or was considered a "dead ringer."

And that's the truth... Now, whoever said that History was boring!!!

Educate someone...Share these facts with a friend.

I am about ready to start over...

That's it! I give up! I cannot catch up! My life stories of the past month now have minimal chance of being posted here. I cannot be bothered! Not just that... I have killed so many brain cells in this month that even though I have not had the time to write them... I cannot remember most of the things I found funny on the night... like stupid pick-up lines (I had 3 in one night the other weekend... what is with this... cut it out boys... you are only making me pity you) and the antics of drunken biatches. So I may just publish where I went and what I can remember as one big entry with minimal detail... it will be boring to you lot but it helps when I need to dig up dates of when things happened. And we all know its all about me! lol

One thing I have been quite good with in the last few months is comment responses... speaking of which... here is the latest:

To Rone:  I didn't say goodbye to you that night coz I didn't know you were there still. You didn't hang around us for most of the night for whatever reason so I assumed you either had other friends that were there or you had gone home. If I had of known you were there I wouldn't have snobbed you and not said goodbye. Alice disappeared 2 hours before I left HH from what I have discovered now and I only left because Kate was my ride and we were looking for her. Alice didn't even say that you had called or else I would have made sure that I spoke to you. Out of interest... why was it that Alice was called that night. You love abusing me from payphones at 3am... lol.

To StarBright:  Thanks for complimenting my space. You're right... it is good. Yours is pretty flashy but takes too long to load and is costing me a fortune in net charges at uni!

To Kosiosko_1984:  Glad you liked my space... I too like the useless facts yet they are one of the only things I copied and pasted. I never look at anyones lists when I'm surfing spaces so I'm impressed that you took the time to browse them all. Yes Fitzy is bloody hilarious and his humour which can only be described as corny never fails to crack me up.

To Sunshine:  Yeah my weekends can be pretty crazy. I can't wait to go to the Ballarat Murphy's. It's the same with me too... half the reason I like the place is coz I like the people I'm there with. If you ever come down to Geelong Murphy's again... drop by the space and let me know.

To Manager of BOB:  Well... what can I say? Thanks for including me on your list. Thanks also for your kind remarks towards my space. I believe in what you're doing and I hope the standard of other spaces on your site are up to the quality of my space.

To Max:  Yeah sorry bout inundating you with entries... but it was you who told me to update and I did. So ner! As for you high-fiving Sticko behind my back on paying me out bout 27 year olds... hrmmm maxee... let me just say... you have the details wrong which makes it all the much funnier for me to laugh at your expense... lol. Any luck with the ant experiment? I know you probably haven't done it but I am sure you won't comment until you do so as to make out that you did. Yey 3000 hits for me! I am getting more and more each week and I must admit that 1 a day is coming from BOB (there's a little bit of credit for you). And yes I did realise that I was a month behind... thanks for pointing that out... grrr! Are you trying to stress me out with all this pressure?

To Max:  I generally do not care if you converse with my friends on here and you had a good reason as fume hombre's site was pretty much out of business at the time. As long as you remember it is MY site and if i'm being temperametal (a Nikki trademark) I may react differently. WHAAAAA? You can get the pig muddy? How? I found I could feed him an apple and spray him with water.... enlighten me...

To fume:  Good to see your space is up and running. I also see that your alter-ego now has a space... like both of them... they're completely different and I like that you have time to run 2 spaces... unlike me who has trouble keeping up with one. It's good to see that Hedger's site is up and running. Ditto on your comment... a web developers site should be a good site or it isn't really good for business. I don't thinks that pigs are cute... neither are many other animals but its funny that when you put them in a cartoon or make them as a plush toy... they instantly become cute.

To StarBright: Again I get this same message: hi just stop by nice space have a good day. I am starting to think it is just an automated comment. I don't usually enjoy the random comment but the fact that there is a have a nice day in there, I will let you get away with it... simply because a random telling me to have a nice day seems to have an effect on me.

To Abby: Hey there... thank you for adding me to your fav spaces list. I never find spaces I love just by surfing through... so consider yourself lucky... especially when my tired old space is great in your mind. I see you're from the US... an international visitor... that's so cool.  Come back any time...

To renee:  Yes I am way behind in my blogs but so are you!!! And as for me being "busy" on Sunday morning... maybe I was (i cannot remember) but I was way too wrecked after the night before to go anywhere.

To fume:  I don't have many categories. The fun run was held on a weekend but my Weekend Madness category has pretty much turned into drunken escapades so it didn't really fit it. Day to Day life just seemed more appropriate. Maybe I should make a new category: "Things I did for fun but weren't as fun as I thought they'd be originally" but it might steal all my Weekend Madness entries! If I was to have ran in a team it would probably be called "You were right Uncle Stu... its faster to drive through the tunnel in peak traffic"

To Max:  You took the time to comment constructively on my space so I will take the time to respond to your queries... although they may not be as constructive as I am running on empty right now.

1) The rude descriptions about the spaces I link to were there outta boredom... I wanted to update my space but didn't have the time to write one of my long-arse blog entries so I worked on something that hadn't been updated since I added it. Why harsh? I dunno... I guess I was in the mood to mock people that day. And you would have noticed that it was changed the next day anyway. Yes it is a bummer that Jesus's space is no more. His original site was hacked so he started a new one "someone hacked my sandles" but he gave up on that for whatever reason too.

2) Friends Beta... don't ask me what that is about but i found it and it has all you guys on it and when you update it comes up with those yellow stars so I now I can not waste my time looking if you haven't. So really its there coz its convenient for me.

3) Me changing my space? Yes that rumor is true. My reasons... it has simply got too hard to keep up with in its current format. I simply party too hardy. And writing about goin out 3 nights a week plus fitting in comment responses and the odd blog about my normal life means at least 6 entries a week... and who has the time for that? Don't be alarmed Maxee... there will still be drunken misadventures with talk of people and places which you may never know. But I would like to get back to what my ambitions of this site were and I will be doing that in due course.

4) I accept you loyal minion... you may grow from my knowledgeable mind and become a true drunken lazy uni student like myself. The path is long and winding... but with my support I will get you there... and para too.

To Max:  Stress less fool! If I change my space and you do not like it there could be an upside... you wont wanna read and then you'll have more time to do those assignments that seem to be making you strung out as all hell like you are now *running around room screaming obsene language*. Take a chill pill lol

To Max:  Someone bored ey? 3 comments in a row... Ok so I will accept that you are my apprentice not servant. But I did not suggest that you were my servant... that was you. You came here saying you would smite people for me. Now an apprentice would LEARN how to smite people... not do the smiting themselves. I will link to you how I see fit... I barely have time to update you all on my life... I have no time on the side for creating the most brilliant description ever made for your space. Isn't that what you created BOB for?

To Sticko:  Me paying out your tipping skills and the cats is because they were both crap at the time of publishing. Your tipping has got better now but your cats still suck balls. You realise that now I'm sure. Read the Geelong News and the sport section at the back. There is this section every week where this doll "Dolly" writes about the cats performance. This weeks was pretty funny. I think there was something said like "It was bad to lose. It was worse to lose to Collingwood. It was unbearable to lose to Collingwood by more than 100 points". Now as a Hawks supporter I feel your pain but I've put up with the carp shoved my way for my team being shite for the last 3 years so when we're doin ok I relish in it. Good times are far and few between.

To cb19790210: Yeah the fun run was good fun... painful but good fun. I don't think the fact that it was for charity was the fun part though. I got freaked out at every water station because all the volunteers were cheering us on and I was like "We're nearly last... we're walking... what are they cheering for... oh charity"

To Jordan:  Ah welcome to my space. I must say I have seen you comment around the few sites I visit and being one who does comment responses I didn't know whether to look forward to one of your comments as it may increase the time spent on this stupid venture. Well you certainly lived up to your previous standards of long comments so here goes my response:

A pig as a pet? That is so cool! I don't really remember having many pets (thems the breaks if you're renting) however I do remember having a cat Chester. It was a gorgeous ginger cat and I came home from school one day to find that it wasn't there. My mum sat me down and told me that she had sold the cat to a frm so it could work on the farm. Come to think of it... I dunno why I believed that... it really isn't that plausible of a story. So anyway... fast forward 10 years and I'm sitting down having dinner with family friends and mum starts talking about the people we used to live with. She mentioned something about the lady putting my cat down which was complete news to me and mum had forgotten she'd told me the "worker cat" lie so that was a shock. And I was nice to this god damn lady! If I ever see her again.... grrr! Your hegehog is cute and no I don't mind you got one as I'm pretty sure I stole it off another site.

Max is a funny character. I like now that there are several people giving it to him on this space... let alone on his own space. Keep up the good work! I think he has calmed down about the proposed changes to my space however that may just be because they were spoken about a month ago and still no change. Maybe this will stir up some emotions... here's hoping lol.

To Max:  Ummm.... hate to tell you this but you gloating about being South Australian does nothing to prove your intellegence. In fact... those of us that assume you have some... would prefer you to move to Victoria so you can get some sort of dignity back after that comment. We make jokes at your expense do so BECAUSE you are from SA. Most of the people here are from Victoria so as a group we got you outnumbered but no battle wil ensue coz that would involve you coming to Victoria for a slagging match. And its even better because you give me something to write about because you must respond. Hehehehe... love you Maxee lol

To Sticko:  I can't believe I've driven more than you! You are a male! Aren't males supposed to be out in the middle of nowhere hooning around in cars at like 15? Meh... I'm aware of that "must be accompanied by a fully lisenced driver" rule and would usually abide by it but I couldn't resist this time. Yer my dream team sucks major arse! I cannot believe I lost to Bracko! As for not texting me at 2:30am something to that effect so as not to wake me or any 29 year olds... I'm sure we'd be doing anything but sleeping lol. I'm stuck with this joke forever aren't I? lol

To everyone who used the quiz site to make their cocktail:  I am glad I was able to entertain you all for a fraction of time. I love this sort of shit but some of them are just too weird... like what flavor icecream are you? How bout... who cares? All of your cocktails and acronyms were hilarious. Good call Jordan on taking Rone with a pince of salt. And Max... porn star? Tell em they're dreamin!

Well there's another comment response outta the way. Enjoy! And till I next update... here's a site that I found in one of Sticko's emails. Plenty of quizzes to entertain you until I cant resume that role. Ciao!

Wanna drink me?

Here's something interesting I found while browsing the web... dunno how much it suits me... in fact 3 parts ego is a little offensive to me... but I have had a little confidence boost of late.

How to make a Nikki

Ingredients:
5 parts mercy
5 parts humour
3 parts ego

Method:
Stir together in a glass tumbler with a salted rim. Top it off with a sprinkle of caring and enjoy!

If you guys wanna make your own cocktail visit:

Maybe if I had of tried to make a Nicole I would get a different cocktail... hrmmm lets go try. Yes but its missing an ingredient... strange... but i guess thats kinda me... i seem to be missing alot of my brain cells at the moment.

Another thing I found after browsing this site:

N Noisy
I Intelligent
K Kinky
K Keen
I Irresistible

This one can be found at:

I dunno if I totally agree with this one either but its fun to play around with. Nicole gave me "Nutty Innocent Cheesy Old Luxurious Exhausting" which is not too flattering at all lol.

You guys probably cant be bothered doing this yourself so I did it for some of you:

Max: "Masculine Adventurous X-Rated"
Tyrone: "Technological Yucky Rich Orderly Normal Elitist"
Sticko: "Sloppy Temperamental Innocent Creative Keen Old"
Pete: "Popular Entertaining Tempting Energetic"
Rach: "Rich Amazing Crazy Helpful"
Brooke: "Busy Rare Orderly Organic Kind Energetic"

Well some of those just don't fit at all. Anyway... enough time killing... i'm going to get my new phone from 3... woohoo!!!

Anzac Day Eve Celebrations and My First Driving Lesson

Being a Monday night, Brooke and I usually catch up at her place on her porch or in her car. We’ll usually go for a drive around 9:30 and tonight was no exception. The only difference was that this week there were heaps of people in town. After realising that tomorrow was a public holiday we remembered seeing all the ads around for Anzac Day celebrations. We immediately decided to check out who was out. We rang Pat from a phone box and she didn’t wanna come out so we quickly went home and changed.

We drove back into town and went to 7/11. I bought text credit with a 20 buck note and the guy gave me 10 bucks straight away and then when he handed over my credit he gave me another 10 buck note… so my credit was free!!! I went out to the phone box to message Liam to see if he was out. Can I just say… writing a message on a phone box isn’t the most fun I’ve ever had… those things are ridiculous. There were a group of guys standing outside 7/11 and they were trying to get me to get in their photo and then they decided they’d come hassle me at the phone box. I got not one… but two proposals. I got back in the car and we drove down to Cunningham Pier where Liam had said he was.

We pulled up next to his car and Janelle was there too. We asked them how Home House was and they said it was pretty shit. Brooke was getting angry coz Liam was being a smartarse like he does and being all arrogant. Those of us who know him know that he’s only fucking around but sometimes he can fool people into thinking he really does think he’s top shit. We ended up chatting with them for a good couple of hours down there before Janelle decided she was ready to go home. We said goodbye and set off for Home House. It was now 3:30am.

Home House was packed to the brim. Downstairs was closed so everyone was upstairs only and they’d even opened the VIP room to the public to create some more space. This pissed Brooke off coz it was hard for us to get a seat even though she was VIP. We sat in there for a while before deciding we’d leave. We did a couple of laps around town before heading home. We sat in the driveway chatting for a bit tossing up on whether we’d go to the dawn service but decided against it coz it was too cold.

I was playing around with the handbrake… letting us slip further and further down the driveway. This was heaps of fun for me coz I never play with cars. Brooke was having a good time just watching me enjoy this. She started the car and told me that she was gonna take me to drive. We went down to Splashdown and the Newcomb footy oval. I got in the driver’s seat and drove around the oval at a blistering 15km/h. Then I stopped at the exit to Coppards Rd and Brooke told me to go on the road. Must say I was a little scared coz I hadn’t driven on the road before. But there was no traffic so it was all good… except for m driving ability.

I just managed turning into the road and then Brooke said a truck was coming and I freaked out. She told me to turn into Splashdown and I didn’t even get close to making it in. I had to slam on the brakes and she put the car in reverse and we corrected ourselves but before Brooke had put the car back into drive I had put my foot on the accelerator and we started going backwards again. Luckily the truck had turned so we didn’t disrupt anyone.

I did circles in the car park and then drove round the oval again. I did over the 20km speed limit so technically I broke a road rule on my first drive. Well… I also didn’t indicate a couple of times and I was driving on my L’s without a fully licensed supervisor… which is 3 road rules lol. I drove the car home going over my first speed hump and roundabout and we sat in the driveway until we went to Macca’s to get some breakfast. Mmm… Macca’s.

Melbourne and the "Fun" Run

On Saturday I woke up really excited. I was headed to Melbourne today for the first time in ages. Why I hear you ask? Well… I was going to participate in the inaugural Run for the Kids Fun Run on Sunday morning. I had heard about it in the Herald Sun and thought that it’d be a good experience. It was a 14.7km run that begins at the Docklands and leads us over the Bolte Bridge and into the Domain Tunnel then through the city to the finish line at the Royal Children’s Hospital. I found the chance to run on roads that were unable to be travelled by pedestrians irresistible and after all it was for a good cause… the Good Friday Appeal. It cost us $25 to compete (many would say that paying that much to run 14.7km was insane) and 20 of that went to the Good Friday Appeal.

I had convinced Rach to come along and run with me. She always gives to charities so I think that was a big draw card for her. And she’d been getting into getting fit and healthy lately so it was gonna be good for her to test how far she had come. I too was very interested in this coz I had last minute nerves on whether I was gonna be able to do it. I mean I hadn’t done any real physical activity in nearly 2 years and I have consumed a lot of alcohol in that time and begun smoking. So thinking of running that far sent chills up my spine… but time would tell anyway.

I went into town and got a hot chocolate from Steve. I haven’t been in there a lot lately due to my lack of money and me trying to re-establish my sensible budget by weeding out non-essential purchases which includes the amount of hot chocolate I drink and the amount of wedges I consume at uni a week. After my hot chocolate, I met Rach at her work at 6pm and we went back to her place so we could grab her stuff before catching the train to Melbourne. The train ride up was nothing special… no drunken tools or anything. There was one cool thing and that was that the dining room was open so you could buy food and grog if you wanted… at an extremely inflated price though.

We got off the train at about 8pm and walked up to the Dallas Bar where our old mate Steve works. The place was pretty packed but it was a Saturday night I guess. It sorta made me feel odd coz I wasn’t gonna be going out. We couldn’t find Steve behind the bar or anywhere else in the joint (well he could have been in the strip club but we didn’t check there) yet I did manage to bump into someone I knew. What are the chances of bumping into someone you know… especially someone you went to Primary School with. So Jason and I were both shocked to bump into each other, we spent a little while chatting in the bar and then we all walked up to Hungry Jacks. We said goodbye to Jason and had dinner there. It was so delicious and there was a hot security guard which made dinner so much better.

We walked up a couple of streets to where the tram stop to Rachel’s was. We were staying on Res at her Uni for the night so we didn’t have to fight against traffic in the morning as a lot of the roads would be closed around the course. The tram ride took about an hour and Rachel met us at the last stop. We walked up to Res and put our stuff in Rachel’s room. Her res room would have to be the best I’ve seen. The facilities alone are much better than at Deakin but because she is RA (Residential Advisor for those not up to speed with uni lingo) she gets a bedroom, a study/living area and a bathroom with shower and toilet and a sort-of kitchenette area. And nothing is bolted down!

After chilling out in her room for a bit having a bit of a catch-up session, we went for the tour of Vic Uni Res. It’s a pretty big joint and there are plenty of places to go if you’re bored. We went up to someone’s room and they were all having drinks up there. There were a couple of semi-decent guys in there so I think it was time well spent. Mind you one of them was very keen on getting us liquored up and then was berating us for still being up and not having trained or eaten well before the run tomorrow. Odd character… ah that’s Resi people for you! After a short visit there, we went on a smoke hunt and then set off for bed.

In the morning, me and Rach got up at about 5:30am (not bad considering we hadn’t gone to bed till 2:30ish and Rach is one girl who needs sleep… unlike me who can function for days without it) showered and dressed in our race gear. We had these groovy race numbers so everyone knew what we were doing. We woke Rachel up and told her we were heading off. She told us she’d meet us at Footscray station with all our bags. We walked back down to the tram stop and caught the first tram outta there. For 6:30 in the morning… there were a lot of people on the tram… many doing the fun run we noticed. Rach had some Caramel Up and Go drink which she said was just nasty! When we got off the tram I opted for some yogurt which I knew was good.

We caught a met train down to Southern Cross Station and walked the bridge to Telstra Dome. It was packed to the brim! But there were over 20,000 people competing so it’s to be expected. We braved the queues in the Telstra Dome’s toilets to get one last break before we headed down to the start line. We went and put our jackets in the baggage trucks (was a little sceptical about leaving my stuff with 20,000 other peoples stuff but they had a really good system) and then went to the yellow zone which we were running in. We listened to the MC speak about the race and the Good Friday Appeal. Special Guest MC was Tim Smith who is a total crack up! We were also spoken to by Steve Monaghetti and Cathy Freeman who were competing in the 4.5km race.

About 20 minutes before the race began we participated in an aerobics session which limbered us up nicely. They played some interesting songs to warm up to. Anyone remember the song by those hamsters about 5 years ago? Well it is shite… I reckon Eye of the Tiger would have been a good song… but what ya gonna do?  So the race began real slowly… I mean we walked for about 100 metres… about where we went through the start line. Then it was a slow jog just to make sure we didn’t fall over the masses of people. By the time we’d got nearly a km down the road it was all good. I liked the pace we were going… it was comfortable.

We hit the off-ramp of the Bolte Bridge (our on-ramp) and gazed up to see thousands of people running. It was a brilliant site. Rach had to stop about 1and a half k’s in coz she felt sick. I moved her over to the bridge’s edge just in case she was. The bridge was steep so Rach said she wanted to walk to the top. We saw ladies with prams overtake us. I didn’t see them again so they must have run real fast! There were photographers on the top of the bridge. I certainly couldn’t stand up there… its way too high (anyone who knows the towers on top of the Bolte Bridge will agree). The view from the top of the bridge wasn’t that spectacular… it overlooks a port and shipping grounds so it aint the prettiest. The best part of the bridge was the loop where we could look down and see all the people underneath us entering the freeway.

We saw plenty of teams that had entered. My personal favourite was one I encountered on this loop section of the course. It was a group from Melbourne Uni who were obviously studying medicine. You know the iPod people… (the all black silhouettes with the white headphones) well they had T-Shirts with these people on them and they’d changed the headphones into a stethoscope and called their team iMed. Genius! I managed to roll my ankle twice going round this loop as I accidentally stepped into the gutter (the second time I nearly fell over which Rach found totally amusing… along with the hundreds of other people who probably saw). After the loop was our first water station. Boy you should have seen all the discarded cups strewn all over the road! Some people had their work ahead of them that’s for sure!

Rach and I walked to the 5km marker which was more than a kilometre. When I realised this I was disgusted and vowed to run the entire next k without stoppage. Rach couldn’t do it but I continued jogging… even if it was at snail’s pace. I made the entire kilometre and then our next drink station came up. We walked while drinking our water and eventually we hit the Domain Tunnel. They had closed this the night before so all the pollution could escape before we ran through it. I vowed I would run the entire thing which was a good 2 and a half k’s. I willed Rach to do it as well but she didn’t think she could. We had spent the last bit talking about stamina and endurance coming naturally to me whereas Rach felt she was more of a sprinter.

When we entered the tunnel it was sort of mystical… it had this weird orange glow and the fact that this was the first time people were running through it made it really cool. I saw this chick run to the side and I saw her dry-reach so I moved to the other side of the tunnel. Rach thought it was odd that I ran like 10 metres to the other side… never rule out projectile vomit I say. Rach had to keep stopping in the tunnel but I wanted to keep going so I continued to jog slowly. We were able to see a steep part up ahead and my calf was already hurting (got a vicious cramp when I woke up Saturday morning and it was still really tender) so I knew it’d be best if I strided it out up the hill. Rach couldn’t keep up and I didn’t look back so I ended up losing her. I made it to the end of tunnel and waited for Rach to surface.

I kept myself entertained by laughing at the speed cameras going off like wild and also by having a conversation with an extremely hot marshal, who was making fun of me for losing my friend. About 5 minutes, later Rach appeared. After the tunnel, Rach didn’t wanna run anymore so we pretty much walked the rest of the course. We walked through the city and joined the 4.5km runners (or walkers rather). My favourite bunch in this stretch was Darth Vader and those other white Darth-Vader-like creatures (someone who has actually seen a Star Wars movie can enlighten me here… having not seen the movies myself I have no idea what the hell they are). They looked awesome and I know why it had taken them as long to get 2km as it had for us to do 10… everyone wanted their photo!

We passed through the “burbs” and there was a guy sitting in a chair in a traditional Greek outfit… playing Zorba’s dance with his banjo like instrument. This was a crack up coz this guy had the cheesiest grin and he just looked so dodgy. We got to the Royal Women’s Hospital and got happy coz we knew we were close. We passed a Macca’s close to the RCH and it got us so hungry… but it was packed (the line was out the door… kinda like KFC at 3am) so we knew we wouldn’t be eating there. I asked Rach if she wanted to run across the finish line… her answer was no. But it turned out pretty good. We were walking up towards the finish line and the MC said congratulations and gave us the thumbs up. He then read out into the PA system what was on my T-shirt which was “Year 12 was the bestest 3 years of my life”. He found this extremely funny which made my day. I wear this T-shirt a lot and I always get someone praising it.

When we crossed the line we had our numbers scanned and were given a freebie bag. We quickly searched this for free food… hoping as Cadbury was a major sponsor we would find chocolate… no such luck. However, there was a muesli bar and a pack of lollies and I reckon they lasted us 30 seconds! After having a tour of the stalls around the joint… we lined up for a free snag and then went to grab our stuff from the baggage trucks. Yes! We got all our stuff back! After that we went to the Nike tent so we could see the footy players in there. I must say… Nick Rievwolt is not as hot in person as on TV. But it’s true with most players I’ve learnt. We went to get on the shuttle bus but found the lines unbearable so we opted for the tram instead.

Our primal Melbourne instincts came out as we vied for a seat on the tram. We got one and I told Rach to sit coz she was in pain whereas I felt fine. The kid next to her I couldn’t help noticing had bloody knuckles… intriguing. We got off the tram in the city and went down to the market under the arts centre and got yummy corn on the cob for lunch (this sounds weird but if you’re ever in Melbourne on a Sunday go down and get one! It’s got Nikki T’s stamp of approval) then caught the met train to Footscray to meet Rachel and then the train home to good old Geelong.

As a post script… although I was fine after the run, and thought I could probably have run the whole thing at the pace we were running… I was unable to walk for the next few days suggesting I need to train up for next year’s run. I expect all of you to come do it with me next year!

Brooke's Birthday Party

Brooke shares a birthday with my cousin which is the 26th of March. Unfortunately this meant that they were both having parties on the Saturday night before the actual day. And big dilemma coz I was pretty much the only friend that Brooke’s sister Sarah was allowing to come to her party (Brooke and her sister also share a birthday so it was actually her sister’s party coz she was turning 21) but it was my cousin’s 18th. In the end I decided I was gonna go to Brooke’s party as she was my friend and I would visit my cousin before his party started and then also on his actual birthday. Problem solved.

I went to my Cousin Ben’s place at about 2pm. I had spent all morning baking. In fact… I had even done the whole “go over to the next-door neighbour’s house and borrow some sugar” thing (well actually it was vegetable oil but you get the point). In the end I ended up with a beautiful Chocolate Fudge Cake complete with the chocolatiest icing you have ever seen. Of course when it was presented we were told that one of Ben’s friends was also bringing a cake. This cake looked pretty good too… it had strawberries. But being biased… mine kicked its butt! I sat out the back with Ben and had a general catch-up session. I don’t go round there nearly as much as I should. For his birthday, we had given him plane tickets to Tassie so he could go see his girlfriend  so we talked about what he was gonna do up there.

I got to know his friend Tash which was kind amusing. She seemed so unlike the friends Ben would have. I can’t really describe her or the friends I expect Ben to have but let’s just leave it at they ain’t anything alike. One thing I was sure of was that she was certainly going to be a main part of party antics tonight. She’d had 2 cans by the time I’d left and was either acting or actually was pretty drunk. I foresee a wailing mess or a vomiting mess. I was actually surprised that my Auntie Sue and Wayne had bought grog for the party. It was real generous of them. They kept telling me to grab a drink so in the end I’d had 4 Cruisers before I left to go home.

I had to go home at about 4pm coz I was having Matty B and Lou round for dinner before Brooke’s party which was just round the corner from my place. After my 4 cans on a pretty much empty stomach I was a little tipsy. Not the best conditions to be cooking under. Luckily in my cooking spree in the morning I had already prepared a lovely Tuna Casserole for us all. All I had to do was chuck it in the oven. I jumped in the shower and got ready for the night out and when Matty B and Lou arrived, dinner was ready to be served. How’s that for service? Well… they both loved my meal… but why wouldn’t they? I’m a master cook. Matty B convinced Lou to iron his pants. So tonight he got ladies to cook him tea and iron his clothes and to drive him here even though she wasn’t coming to the party. Did someone say mooch?

Lou drove us to Brooke’s party (even though it was a 2 minute walk away) and then we said goodbye to her and told her we’d meet back up with her later. We walked up the driveway and I was greeted by Sarah who gave me a big hug as I wished her happy birthday. I then went over to Brooke and wished her a happy birthday, as did Matty B, and we all went inside. As far as the party goes I don’t remember much. The thing that’s most vivid was that there were jelly shooters… purple vodka ones and green chartreuse ones. As a novelty it’s a great idea and I cant remember how many people I sent drunken messages to going “I got jelly shooters” but this may have been the most difficult way to consume alcohol (worse than those stupid twisty shots… you know the ones you always end up spilling on yourself).

Matty B spent pretty much the whole time hanging out with the boys coz he hadn’t seen them in ages. Nathan was DJ-ing the event and he was pretty good. He and Toast did the Haka at one occasion which was awesome to see. I must say Toast looked a little insane but I guess that’s all part of the act. Party quietened down after the speeches which were pretty funny and Matty B and I got Lou to come pick us up so we could go into town. When we got into town the line for 99 was huge… I’m talking round the corner of James St for you fellow Geelong-ians so we decided to give that a miss and we headed to Eureka. This place was pretty dead. After a while Lou decided she was gonna go home and Matty B decided he’d grab a lift home with her. This pissed me off coz he was quite willing to leave me in town on my lonesome. Luckily I’m quite skilled in the art of guilting people so he stayed.

We went back into Eureka for a little bit. It had got a little busier but not much. I decided I wanted some dim-sims so we went to the magic window and got some. We met up with the rest of the party at 7/11 and sat outside there chatting for ages. Then we went back into Eureka with everyone and hung around there for a while. Everyone slowly trickled out as it got later and we decided we wanted to move on to another club. We all sat outside Eureka in an alleyway for a little bit and argued about where we were going. I convinced Brooke to go to Home house with me (it helped that she bumped into Paul at that exact same moment who was on his way there as well) and I said Matty B would probably wanna come with us. Unfortunately he was still inside and I was the only one who would get up off their arse to go back in and get him. And of course he was sitting with my ex and his boys chatting away. I didn’t have to beg to get him out which was good so the three of us walked to Home House.

Turned out Home House was probably not the place for me to be. I copped heaps of shit from people I knew. Apparently Blake had told people that we’d slept together and basically everyone knew 1 day later. I had no idea what they were talking about when they approached me. Tobba said to me something like “so I hear you’re converting people to the lighter side now?” and coz I was drunk at this stage and the fact that I hadn’t slept with him I was all confused. They just kept saying “don’t act blonde!” but when it finally clicked I denied it completely. I told them that Blake had told me he might play a joke and tell someone that we did but he was gonna tell me if that was the case… but since he hadn’t said anything I was totally unawares. So I think I managed to convinced most people that night. Tobba kept saying I should tell everyone individually except one person and it’d be hilarious. I was gonna tell everyone the truth… there’s no way I was having a lies be said about me.

While all this was happening with me on the stage, Brooke was hanging around upstairs with god-knows-who. And after all that mess I felt like going home coz I think about 5 people had come up and said something to me. And I was sure at least 1 didn’t believe me which really pissed me off coz I thought that they’d know by now that I’d always be honest with them. Me and Brooke caught a taxi home and sat on her porch for about an hour chatting (or rather bitching) about the night’s goings on. She was pissed at Lo-Lo for drinking her drinks and smoking her smokes when it was her birthday and Paul had said he was “in the zone” (his words exactly… which has kept me and Brooke laughing for months) so he couldn’t meet up with her for a little somethin somethin on her birthday. Its just not cricket when you don’t get laid on your birthday! I went inside at about 6am so I’d be asleep before mum finished work.

One More Non-Entry to Kill the Time

Well I had good intentions of coming in here and uploading 2 new entries but stupid me in my chaotic rush forgot my USB stick didn't I? Oh well... another day. I've said that so many times now that its lost all meaning. lol

So I just did an online genetics test which sprung up on me! Who puts a test in the first week back after holidays? Caught me totally off guard. Logged into DSO and this friendly little announcement said "Test 3 is now available on DSO for you to complete by 6pm". What if I hadn't of come in to uni today? I would have been screwed! But I was pretty screwed anyway. I had done no study... didn't have my text book with me... no lecture notes to look off... it was a shambles. Hopefully me google-ing the questions gave me reliable answers.

So after all that I needed some cheering up so I decided to muck around on this thing anyway. I have noticed recently that my mates blogs have been attracting some people from weird searches made by them. I had a look and the one I found on my site was:

From Google in the UK: Braniac impossible to lick your elbow

WHAAAAAA???? I don't know how that search return my site but that's just plain weird.

Also another thing to keep me entertained... I adopted a pet. I found one on another blog as I was cruising around and thought... yeah that'd be a good time killer. So here it is:

my pet!

And voi la... my pet! I dont even think I can do anything with it. But its a pig which don't all of us want as a pet secretly? No... no we dont. But this one's cute and unless you have smell-o-vision its pretty good in that area too. Anyhoo... I've wasted enough time on here with my stupid boredom. Catch

Spontaneity and Shock Factor

Thursday night (I’m up to the 23th of March now people… only a little bit late I swear) was a bit of a spontaneous night all round. Kate came to pick me up so we could go to Liam’s basketball game in Leopold. She rang like at the time the game started telling me she was coming round to pick me up so we were late obviously. She had brought Ang and Tania with her so we had a rather large group. I had only been out to Leopold once and that was when Pete fucked reading up his fixture. We walked in and sat down. I noticed Sticko was scoring which was good coz I would have felt a little guilty if they had been without a scorer coz I was late… even though it was no fault of my own.

The boys kicked some arse and we had a pretty good chat on the side line. Kate asked me if I was coming out over to her place and out after the game… couldn’t say I’d heard anything about it before the game. But nonetheless I was convinced pretty easy even though I had zero cash. Yet somehow I managed to go halves in a 6 pack of UDL’s (I seem to always be able to find money for alcohol… weird!). I also got macca’s but that was free coz we went into where Kate, Tania, and Blake work. We got to Kate’s and everyone walked into the bathroom where Ineka was showering. I chose not to partake in this visit due to the fact I don’t know her THAT well. Yet she ended up walking around naked anyway when she got out coz apparently that’s what she does.

The girls bombarded me with questions on their friend Liam which I managed to dodge quite well. Although they haven’t let up since then. Rach rang me and told me about a fight she was having with Pete that from my understanding was over an apple and a frozen piece of bread. That conversation lasted for over half an hour. I tried to help her but I dunno how much help I could give considering the subject matter. I went back to Ineka’s room after that phone call and we had a massive girls chat which was cool coz I got to know a lot of the girls better.

We called a cab and waited outside… it hadn’t come so when we saw one pull up across the road we ran over to grab it. The guy who was getting out looked at me and I looked at him. He turned around and then back to me and said “Your Bracken’s friend yeah?” and I was like “Yeah, your Mikos aren’t you?” and it was, so that was just strange. We went to Eureka but stopped on the way at Pink Fish to chat to some people there. Me and Kate were busting for the loo so we went inside. There was a chick in there who had lipstick all over her face which I found utterly amusing. We helped her fix herself up and and then came back outside again (free entry is a marvellous thing… especially when you’re craving the hot dogs just outside Eureka).

When we came back in we did a lap and I bumped into Bretcha who gave me a big hug. I asked him about his birthday last week (which coincides with Paddy’s day) and he said he took my advise in my message wishing him happy birthday and didn’t end up in hospital. Here’s an equation for you all: Paddy’s day last year + his 21st + the excess consumption of alcohol = friends having to carry the passed out Bretcha out of Eureka + vomit on Keegan’s expensive jacket + a cab ride to emergency + one angry Bretcha being force-fed charcoal. Then Rone came up to talk to me which left Dave standing on the sidelines furiously smoking away. We decided it was time to head to Home House so we did.

Nothing particularly exciting happened at Home House that I remember… I kept going outside to get people in for free with my cards. For some reason we ended back up at Eureka. This time we spent more time there. I bumped into Jarrod from GHS. We had a really good chat… the kind you don’t usually get while you’re out. Blake kept calling me up to find where I was. He found me at the front bar sitting down with Jarrod still. He matter-of-factly told me he was gonna pick me up tonight. Hrmmm… that’s confidence alright!

I also bumped into Jack as I was sitting down. We had a good conversation which we haven’t had probably since me and Dave broke up which is probably understandable I guess. He was pretty drunk and funny. This chick walked up wearing a barely there top. Jack just stared at her and said “Oh I like that top”. He friend overheard and told her. She turned round and was like “You got something to say?”. Jack was like “No… no… I just like your top”. Her look was priceless. She had thought Jack was trying to start her when really he just liked her top (most likely how she looked in it). We ended up getting our way outta it by complimenting her tattoos too. After that, our crew decided that we’d go back to Home House to meet up with Herby before he finished. On the way out I saw Jack who said he had needed my help before coz the girls’ friend had bumped him on the way past trying to start something again. What is up with people these days?

This time at Home House some stuff well I wouldn’t exactly call it exciting more shocking happened. Apart from Blake trying to hook in to which I told him that I was shy (which strangely I was all of a sudden… very weird indeed), something else weird happened. Kate, Blake and I were sitting on the edge of the stage and we saw Tania dancing with this guy who she knew. Now… Tania had a boyfriend that she was speaking about earlier in the night and this guy we knew to be engaged and they weren’t exactly dancing like they were in relationships. We were a little shocked at this but sat still. Kate and Blake started chatting away and I saw Tania start pashing him so I poked Kate and Blake and we all sat there for a few seconds in shock. Then Blake jumped up to go stop it. They told him that there was no harm being done and we left them alone.

Kate, Blake and I then went and sat up in a booth. We all just sat there silent with our jaws open. Me and Kate had both heard her talk about her boyfriend at basketball and now she was picking up some guy saying she wasn’t with her boyfriend anymore. We didn’t know about this engaged guy but he had said that him and his mrs were on a one month break coz they had been together since they were like 14. Could be true… might not but everyone was just in shock. Herby finished up DJ-ing and offered to drive us me home. We had lost Ang in midst of all the drama so we drove around looking for her to no avail. Then he dropped Blake and I off at my place where I had offered he could crash (AND NOTHING HAPPENED!!! See a later post for the aftermath of this)

The BBQ and the Girls Night Out that Didn’t Exactly go to Plan

Alice had invited me to her work BBQ that was happening on Saturday night. I had previously organised a girls night so I had to rearrange the details a little bit. Well actually it was Kat’s idea but I’m usually the one who has to get all the details in order. Alice got dropped at my place at about 4pm and we had a bit of a catch up session before her boss came back to pick us up at around 6pm. I had previously decided it was best to have a night off drinking considering the last few weeks and the excess consumption of alcohol by yours truly. But that was thwarted when Alice’s boss drove us to the bottle shop to get grog… can’t help it… see grog and get it. I bought a six pack of UDL’s which I thought would be plenty for the BBQ.

We got to Eastern Gardens and I met the rest of Alice’s work crew. They’re all pretty nice people. A lot of them went to play cricket after we’d munched on some snacks (go out and get the Kraft market fresh dip Chilli and Capsicum… its to die for) but I wasn’t in the mood. I had a smoke and Alice joined in coz she was a little frustrated coz a guy that she was into from work had his new girl there (kinda know what she was feeling so I was quite happy to be there for her) but it was funny to see someone else smoking. I’ve seen a couple of my friends have a drag in my presence that don’t usually smoke and I never will get used to it but strangely I enjoy it … especially the one’s who always play on the safe side.

After the game of cricket we all went and had some food. Have to say this was the first proper BBQ I’d been to in ages. One with more than some snags and bread (which is the Taylor family speciality). They had chicken and shashliks and steak (properly cooked too… not that charcoal shit that my family does at Christmas) so I had a bit of a feast and was quite bloated at the end of it. After tea we sat around and had some more grog and then the kiddies asked us to take them to play on the playground. I gave one of them a piggy back and we went in. This was the first time I had played on the playground for disabled kids and I can’t say it was that fascinating. One thing struck me as odd. They have a rock-climbing wall. How do kiddies in wheelchairs rock climb?

After getting myself seriously ill playing on those stupid whirly things (whoever invented them should be shot… but then again not a good idea to play on them when you’ve had a few cans) we went over to the tiny things that you sit in and rock back and forth. I was quite proud that I could still get my arse in them although I must have looked like a bit of a dick with my legs bunched up in there. I was nearly falling out rocking back and then one of the kids, Jordan, thought it’d be fun to pull me back. Bad idea. I catapulted outta that thing at 100 miles an hour and hit every joint and bone on the way out while completing my spectacular dive to the ground. Alice helped me out and I was covered in woodchips and dirt. The poor kid looked mortified and overjoyed at the same time struggling between his guilt and his urge to roll around on the ground laughing.

We decided to head back to the BBQ area where the story was told to everyone. Then we got invited back to Robyn’s house to chill for a little bit. Seen as though we had a bit of time before it was socially acceptable to go out we obliged. We go there and we were pretty much force fed drinks. 6 cowboy shots in the space of a half an hour left me pretty para (so much for my alcohol-free night). I rang Rone to see if he wanted to come out with us and even though he was in bed he said he would so we told him we’d meet him outside KFC at 10:30ish.

Alice’s boss said he’d give us a lift into town and he did a couple of laps of town before we decided to get dropped off at the Commonwealth Games Live Site down at the beach. We told Rone to meet us down there and we sat and watched a bit of basketball. I was surprised how many people were down there all rugged up watching the big screen. I rang Rach to see what time she was coming in only to be told she had a headache and she probly wasn’t coming in at all. Rach always has something wrong when a night out is scheduled, headache, mystery illness, or lack of money. One day the gods will smile on us and we will get out together. I asked her to get in contact with Kat and get her to call me.

We went to Home House. I remember Rone laughing at my drunkenness coz I had fallen into one of the booths and clambered over to the middle. You know you must be really drunk when Rone is laughing at you for being drunk. I drank my last can of UDL inside Home House which was a little dodgy but I managed to hide it pretty well. I’m actually shocked it fit in my handbag. We went to find Kate and Ang a little later. We found them on the stage as usual. Bit of dancing… bit of drinking… the usual… and time was flying by. I was dancing on the stage with Alice and these guys pulled us down to dance with them. They were pretty decent looking… didn’t look like serial killers so we obliged.

They asked us if we wanted drinks and I usually wont accept but they wouldn’t take no for an answer so we went up with them. They bought us a pancake shot each and we had those (god they are awesome!) and I turned round to talk to Tobba who was sitting at the bar by himself. When I turned round to Alice the guys had gone and I just looked at her and said “woohoo… free drinks!”. Tobba didn’t wanna go down with 2 drinks in his hand but I told him I’d shepherd for him. I had my arms out and I was facing him and I probably bumped straight into 3 people. He thought I was crazy but I was drunk and just trying to protect the drinks. I’ve been bumped into a lot worse. I got back up on the stage with Tobba and talked to him and Liam. I could see Alice begging me with her eyes to come back to dance with her and the guys so I went down there. Now this one guy started dancing all over me. I will tolerate a bit of a boob grab but this guy was grabbing parts he shouldn’t and when he tried to get down my pants I quickly removed his hands from me and left without an explanation. I told Rone who was about ready to jump down and king hit the fucker. I told him it wasn’t worth it and I didn’t leave the stage for the rest of the night.

Alice disappeared for the rest of the night not that I really noticed coz I was too busy dancing with the other girls and talking to Rone and Liam and his boys. It came time to when Kate was gonna go home and she told me she’d drop me home. I said goodbye to everyone and was maybe a bit forward with one person (actually I know I was… I can’t believe I said the shit I did… damn word vomit… getting a serious case of that) and we were about to leave when I remembered that Alice was supposed to crash at my place.

We had a quick look downstairs and upstairs and then sat down in a booth and Ang rang her. She told us she’d be right there. We waited… another 10 minutes and no Alice. We rang again and Ang asked her where the hell she was. Again… she said she’d be right there. Another 10 minutes and Ang was like “fuck it lets go”. I said we should go out through the foyer and then if she wasn’t there that we could go and I’d just tell her to catch a cab. We got outside and she was just standing out the front with the same sleazebags we had met in the club. Ang was like “go give her a piece of your mind”. I was still pretty drunk and thus pretty mellow about everything that was going on around me. I just went up to her and stated matter-of-factly that we were going and if she wanted to come with us she had to come now.

Well… not even 2 seconds later, Ang had come up and went spastic at Alice. I won’t give you the entire transcript but basically it was

Ang: “Alice you just don’t do that. You don’t fuck over your mates. You are such a bad friend. We’ve waited ages for you. Not cool.”

Alice (stunned look of confusion): “Hrmmm… okay… okay… I’m coming… settle down”

I leaned over to Alice and told her that it was Ang’s rant and that it had nothing to do with me and that I wasn’t pissed off at her. She didn’t respond to me. It was a very quiet walk to the car and the car ride was full of tension. Ang had leaned over from the front seat and started justifying her outburst to which Alice sorta fought back. When we got to my place, Alice told us that she was gonna stay at Ineka’s so I had waited for her for no reason. This made me a little mad coz I had kept Kate waiting even though she had to work in the morning and it was all for nothing. I later found out Alice’s side of the story. She hadn’t even been at Home House when we were calling. She had gone down to the beach with those stupid excuses for males. And she had thought I was pissed at her which is why she didn’t stay. How she could think that when I clearly said to her that I wasn’t I’ll never know. Meh… people!

Pain... so much pain!

Yes... its time for what you've all been waiting for... a comment response. I figure its best to do it now before I put up all the new stuff (which by the way is nearly finished!) otherwise I'd have to much to respond to. as it is I have about 12 posts to respond to.. i dunno how many comments that is... i haven't got that far yet. Here comes the pain:

To Sticko:  You can't really blame Jesus for drinking more than you. Hell... if I could turn water into wine I'd never be able to stand. Drunk on a Tuesday is not a good thing. It isn't really socially acceptable to be drunk on a Tuesday. Luckily the one Tuesday of the year when it is happens to be during O'Week so i'm ok. Katriana whatever her name was was a total wank in Primary school. I cant recall her being my house captain. Isn't that weird that I remember you but not her being house captain.

To Sticko:  Do you ever have a night out where you can remember the details? I usually fill everyone in on the finer points of the night. You staring at those guys dancing with each other was a total pisser! I still remember the look you gave them. Most boys when they see someone getting fired up will try to calm them down. I've seen a guy come up to one of my mates, bump into him spilling his beer and then getting all pissy AND my mate has bought him a drink to settle the situation before it got ugly. Its utterly ridiculous sometimes.

To Max:  No we are not all caught up now! I still have plenty of stuff to put up. I am nearly ready to just go... these 3 weeks never happened and just move on but I have to have everything in order which is why I can't put the new stuff up till the old stuff is done. I will get there eventually.

To RachL:  Thanks for filling in the blanks. I cant believe I didn't know you read this. But then again, I would never know who read this unless they leave a comment. Feel free to comment again... DO IT *shakes fist*!!! And I know you aint the only one who looks for their name on here and gets all excited when they find it "Ooh that's me!"

To fume:  Yes sometimes I get distracted and not alot gets done. I fall behind all the time whether it be study, this stupid thing, or catching up with friends and then usually I try to get all of them caught up in the same week which leaves me utterly exhausted. Meh... you live you learn.

To Max:  Sorry for the freak out that got you worried. You will already have discovered this by now (as the comment in question was made over a month ago) that I am not quitting uni. Thanks for the email. But dude... you worry too much. Most of my decisions are made on whether they are cost-effective whether the cost be energy or money. Now if I had sat down to think about seriously... I would have come to the decision that having spent nearly 10K on something for nothing would just be stupid. Doesn't mean I'm still enjoying myself at uni but i'm sticking to it. And the Crows suck balls!

To Sticko:  Don't worry about Max and his "Go the mighty crows" comment. It's not his fault... he's South Australian the poor bugger. Doesn't even live in the state thats home to the AFL so any footy related comment from him can just be disregarded. And well this may be the only time I stick up for Geelong but lets just think back to who actually won the NAB cup? Geelong. Urgh... I can't believe I just did that... I think I may go throw up!

To Max:  That was tricky telling Sticko to abuse you on your site... when it wasn't working. Sneaky!

To Max:  Yes well now we know that your fears were confirmed... your space was forever lost. R.I.P. The space that defied normality. We all love you dearly! I am pretty sure that noone would have reported you for abuse. I reckon it was because you had all those extra modules on it to be honest. Meh... a new space is reborn and we can worship it now. Hrmmmm...

To Max:  I don't think a petition would have helped and your next comment agrees. Yes rest in peace little space...

To Rone:  Max likes to think that he plays an important role in generating our many readers. I myself am notching the 3000 mark and can't believe that you and Max are the only ones bringing that tally up. And I know that many of your hits come from obscure searchs. I would love if you could teach me how to find this out. I would like to see where mine are coming from. Good on you for encouraging Max to get started again. I agree it is one of the few sites I enjoy reading regularly.

To (no name) aka Sandemonic:  It is a good story. I love jokes that pay out women. Especially because peopel find it weird that I am paying out my own sex. I feel I can do this not only because I have a sense of humour but coz I also believe I am better than the average female (sorry... i sound real cocky just now but I've got some unprofound confidence going on since my Hawks killed the Cats)

To Rone:  That story is a pisser. For those of you who have not read it and the stories like it... scroll down to my entry "Killing time coz I'm bored" where you will find 5 corporate lessons and then see Rone's comment.

To Max:  As Rone says in his response to your comment... you will indeed learn much from Rone. I can't always say the knowledge is useful but I am a smarter person from knowing Rone. I can not tell you how many conversations we've had over several pints at Murphy's where I have learnt great things. I can't always say I remember them in the morning. And also when the pints keep getting sunk, alot of the intellectual speak turns to debating which turns to just outright yelling at each other where we can't remember what we were originally talking about.

To Sandemonic:  Can't say i haven't thought about writing a novel out of my life before. Who knows... one day I may turn this site into a multi-million dollar selling novel and then you will all be in it (well... I may have to change your names etc. so I don't have to pay you lol). I am glad you are getting your life back on track. I do not envy your position although I do envy the way you are handling everything, maturely even when noone else can be mature. Get out and about... its the only way to get back into it properly.

To Max:  Yey, the space formally known as the space that defied the normality is back online! Don't worry... Ihave all my blogs on my computer ready to be uploaded again if I ever have a Max like incident. Since I write most of them (bar these comment responses) at home on word, it is pretty simple for me.

To Simple Rock Chick:  Yes... I take pride in having an eye for hot men. The list would be so much bigger but when I think of one I can't put it down instantly so sometimes they are forgotten. You list aint too bad either. I see we have many in common.

To Fiona: No... no idea about when the next movie comes out. I would say probly mid way next year to end of next year. I'd love to think it was sooner but it is taking them longer and longer to get them out. Each Harry Potter book gets longer so its no wonder the films are taking longer to make. Order of the Pheonix is probly gonna be the best movie so far. But having read the sixth book... I cannot wait for that one!

To Rone:  Ummm... at the time you asked me if I was ok... no I wasn't. I was pretty god damn ill and in fact I think I didn't go out that weekend which shows how ill I must have been. Thanks to you and Pete for your concern.

To CEO Comment Corparation:  Thankyou for adding me to your billionaries club. May I ask what you will do when you get a billion comments? I hope there is a purpose to this experiment.

To Max: Since I am one of your loyal readers, I noticed the new link on your site and followed it. I saw you had joined so I joined and hey presto... another comment on my site. *returns Max's Hi Five*. Yes I was sick, but I'm better now (should be or else I've been sick for like 3 weeks)

To Max:  So what happened with Mr Ant? You never came back and told me. If you are totally confused as to what I'm talking about... see your comment for my entry "Labour Day Weekend: The Excessive Drinking Nights".

To Simple Rock Chick:  I don't think that a list of names is that good for my viewing pleasure. Now if we were somehow able to place pics of these gorgeous guys next to their name then that would be a treat. And yes... Colin Farrell is one sexy irish beast!

To fume:  Thanks for pointing out those points that could be argued in the dementia test. You aren't the only one who has pointed that out. I got 2100 for the maths question too coz I thought that it may have been a trick question so i started with -1000 too.

To Rone:  Sorry that my entry was boring for you. Really... I am...

To Sticko:  Congrats on getting a few right... proves you don't have dementia. I said I got them all wrong which includes the first one and your response is "If anyone is stupid enough to get the first one wrong then they should give up on life now". Yeah thanks for that lol. Urgh... footy training on a Sunday? Whose idea was that? They should be shot? If you had a big night out and are hung over why don't you just not go to training? Or is that taboo?

To Sandemonic:  Ah... at least someone got a zero like me. And don't take it as no indication of being a bad cop. I know several people who have failed the entrance exam and at least you passed that.

To Kate:  Thats ok. You are so not alone in your situation. Thats what's good about having a blog which is accessible to anyone who has the net... chances are you'll find someone who has gone through or is going through what you are. I found bits and pieces on your space to be very inciteful so tankyou for that. I hope it all gets better... it always does... you just have to be willing to let the good things come to you.

To Robbity_is_meeeeeeeeeee:  You're quite welcome. I am glad to hear that you've heard of Dieter. If you had lived in Geelong for more than 6 months and weren't familiar with him i'd be perplexed. That's no good that he puked on your shoes... he's shouted at me before but that's about it. I am a pretty busy girl, but that isn't a usual night out for me. I don't usually go to 7 clubs in one night. Usually its only 2 or 3. As for Nikki's being pretty... yeah most of them are but I'm not actually a Nikki... I'm a Nicole so I don't fit into that category. Tis True... I am yet to meet an attractive Bertha or Helga... probably coz the ones I have met are either 50+ years old or butch german chicks.

To Max:  Ahhh... you assume that my life could not possibly go on without a comment from you. I dunno how much truth is in that. It may be my life force... i dunno. See that's the good thing about Deakin... the internet is never slow... the server crashes sometimes but that is rare so I never have any net problems (except the fact that I have to travel for an hour just to use it lol). Comment reply... here it is in all its glory... only taken me like  2 and a half hours but what you gonna do? I do have a knack of picking up stalkers whether over the net or in real life but I was actually the first one to make a move with Rob so he can't really be called a stalker.

To Robbity_is_meeeeeeeeeee: Apparently it does says my mate Rone but how much scientific testing either side has done I can't be sure. If I had a duck I would see if it echoed... but alas I do not.

To renee:  Ok girlie... i know I'm way behind but what do you care? You were pretty much there for all the shit I'm putting up. And I resent that. I have not been busy with neither Ryan, Steve or Liam. Well at least not busy like you are incinuating.

To fume:  Yeah I definately didn't pull up good after the run. I would have been fine to run the whole thing. I could run for hours and be fine at the time... its just afterwards I'm sore as a mofo. I kinda felt like you with your back... i was actually incapacitated and its a horrible feeling. I have been going for runs and to the gym ever since that run... its inspired me to get active so I'm definately happy that I did the fun run... even if I was in immense pain afterwards.

To Sticko:  Assignment completed. It's borderline crappy... hell its probably just crappy but I only lost 8% in the end. Hopefully I get a good enough grade originally so that when they deduct that 8% I still pass. Time will tell.

To Max: Yes... I wasn't exactly in the best mood when I thought of that title. I was intellectually exhausted. I had been at uni for 2 weeks straight not attending classes for this essay and then I spent that day finishing it off along with a prac report and applying for special consideration. Make sure I don't get pissed tonight? Its Nikki here... that's a pretty big ask... and one I didn't keep. I will put up the finer details of Rone's 21st but it will wait until I get up to date... hopefully by end of the week.

To TheCommentKing:  Thankyou for making my space more accessible... I am yet to have anyone come visit my space through yours so I see no benefit to this move anyway.

There!

I Hate Stuff

OK so I know I am still way behind in all my crap here and I barely update these days but right now as i'm typing this I am doing an essay which if I hand it in tomorrow (its not looking promising but I must or otherwise its holidays) I've still lost 8%. I missed my Biochem midsemester test because the fuckers had the date advertised wrong (if they don't let me do a make-up test I am so getting DUSA on their back). I am finding the internet to be a piece of shit when it comes to info I need (and I keep getting willingly distracted on MSN). And last but not least I can barely walk due to the 14.7km "fun" run I competed in on Sunday morn. Oh boy... life is grand right now. One day till holidays... thank god for that. Too bad they will be consumed with cleaning and moving and catch up work.

Bah Humbug!
